Back in LA, ready to hit the plane later this evening…
thus, here is a quick update on things before I immerse deeply into bottling and packaging in Zurich. The desert was extraordinary cold, for two days, with low temperatures in the night in the 40ies not too comfortable. Actually, while I was sleeping in my tent, folks up in Big Bear Lake got some inches of snow, again. Snow in late April there is quite special. I had my share of snow yesterday, on the way back to LA, while side tripping to the San Gabriel Mountains….
But actually, it was just one or two nights where it got really cold. The rest of the desert trip was just like you’d expect it. Just a bit more flowers and greener. Highlights: Two days hiking with backcountry camping, 4 steaks, desert lilies in the Pinto basin, a few ideas on new things to get done in a free minute, a sky with stars like you would not believe it. And a few pictures that I will share later when I am back and online in Zurich again.
I feel that it will take a while until I post from Zurich. Expect major delays…The W.-factor and my mail account with orders from retailers in there tells me that I will have to go into highly productive mode immediately after my return. We are talking all time record of bottles that need to go out in the next two weeks.
And off we go, finish packing stuff, and getting ready, with a line of sadness appearing. I really like it around here.
