in search for spring

So the weather lady tells us about the weather to come, she tells us about sun here and there, pointing towards imaginary spots on a digital map, and as every evening she tells us about temperatures on the “Hörnli”. So , this Saturday we wonder why and what. Hörnli? What the ….On Sunday we wanted to set things straight. And see the sun. And look out for first signs of spring outside the mall and its Eastern decorated shops.

The expedition to the Hörnli. 1 hour by bus and train, 2 hours hiking (we chose the longer tour) and voilà, there we are.On top of little pick surrounded by clouds, wind and winter elements.Black tree and mountains at least, some mountains beneath the clouds….
WayOutOfWinter the way out of winter?

Today we have beautifully frozen ice everywhere, yesterday all the snow suddenly melted and water was flowing right on the streets, and today came complete frost which turned all that water to ice… :) Slippery, but beautyful! :)

Dear Jeff, beauty is quite often dangerous! isn’t it?

Good morning, dear Vladimir, right now the sun is shining and spring seems around the corner!

Spring will come, my fragrant friends. Enjoy the winter beauty while you can. I haven’t seen a single drop of snow all winter. I’d gladly trade winters for a week.

Somehow, I love to hear and see what you are experiencing , so far from me.
It shortens the distance between us, and heightens the immediacy.
    Feels so intimate.

    Take heart.
It is good, all of it.
Especially being outdoors, in the lovely crisp air !
    nectar to my soul.
    That’s what I’ll do, right now….

    Love to you.

It is so beautiful… The first time I saw snow, I think I was 25 years old. And I miss that view…
Enjoy… The spring will come soon, bringing all the color and beauty n the world.

Good Morning, Matt S! Now that you mention it…we still miss the snow that is supposed to fall in January. I insist on one day with 30 cm of snow, just one day, to miss the train and stay at home and watch the snow falling.

    Dear Chayaruchama
And I love the sun! And I hope to see it again in about 1 hour. Yesterday’s morning sun was spectacular!

Dear Katia, and I remember in the late sixties, we had soooooo much snow that piles of were along the streets that were not busy back then and we were digging an entire tunnel system!
