Here in San Diego, we have a beautiful blue sky, but it is very cold for here. Usually, it gets no lower than 40-50 F (I know, tough life!) but for the past week we’ve had freezing temperatures. Most people and houses (we have no central heating, no insulation and tons of cracks for drafts to get in!) are not prepared for this type of weather.

It was grey and wet and just now I had the feeling the house would be blown away, everything was shaking from the gales. But the sky has cleared as a result and I can now howl at the beautiful moon.
Here in New England in the US it is also cool, grey, very grey, and rainy, just as in Switzerland. There is not so much wind, though. It is good to read here that there are places in the world on either side of us where the sun is shining.

Even though the sky is blue and the sun is shining, the desert gets cold….brrrrrrrr!
We may seen a thin covering of snow every other year so feel free to send snow our way so we will recognize it when we see it!

Here In PA. It pouring. The sky is fierce and has a relentless fury of water and wind. My big light up snoopy had to be retrieved and reanchored a few times. It’s foggy too. Which gives the kids a huge chuckle when we drive by the dairy farms and the cow pattys are “smokin” on the pasture. Thanks so much:)

I know what you mean about grey, grey grey, today I would describe as a cloudy grey, here in Portland Oregon. I have decided that our grey days remind me of The Bronte books, the heroines’ grey dresses were the ones they saved for a dress up occasion and are always worn with a tiny bit of color in hair or as a brooch. Thinking of it this way gives these days respect and majesty and I even find that my Christmas lights look more mysterious in them.
Unfortunately I can’t see the sky here in Manchester, it’s been raining all day, in between the hail…

Of course I have been good the whole year! Some people maybe don’t think the same, but you know the truth, I hope! In Hungary, where I live, we took the pack of chocolat santa claus, candys, and cakes in front of the window, and I have one, so this is the evidence, that I was good.

Hello Andy. Well, I think it was pretty grey today here too. It even dropped from time to time some water on my head (and not only mine). But at a moment, when I was in the classroom (yes, even at 31 one can still learn things… in a classroom) and looked by the window, I saw it was of some gorgeous mauvy color, you know, just before the sunset, and it was so beautiful in an elegant, almost grey-ish manner… By the way, grey is a very elegant, English color, don’t you think? Or maybe rather Parisian? I think that would be two different nuances of grey. Both elegant.
Looking lovely and christmassy here, everything covered in snow, and sky was a lovely blue today with the sun shining. Bitterly cold but refreshing, lovely.

Rainy but warm here in the southeastern US. It doesn’t feel at all winter-like and certainly nothing like Christmas. Today was my big holiday shopping day, and there were plenty of us out in the rain. My 9 year old niece will be getting a light floral edt this year, as well as some scented soaps. I’m trying to indoctrinate here in the cult of good scents!
