I could not resist: a flacon picture again. I took it yesterday, while pouring Eau d’épices into 214 flacons in my studio. Outside it was all rainy and grey, but the grey daylight was transformed into a golden beam, shining onto the flacons in quite a spectacular way. The only arrangement I had to do: Put the flacon in a way that allows reading the brand logo. Otherwise: No nothing and no photoshop (except for size reduction).
Today, I need to finish putting the o-ring on the naked necks and then we engage in pouring Rose chypree into the new flacon. While doing so: more time to fall into deep bottle pouring stasis and think about new scents, like COMBAT ZONE, SEX IN GRAUBÜNDEN, and other funny ideas that come up during the day or in the comments section on this blog. Actually, quite often the comments are more thrilling then the post. On combat zone: see yesterday’s comments; you know that there IS a Swiss army scent on the market? Yes, there is; actually, there are a few…..
Before I fall into stasis: Wishing you all a lovely weekend. Enjoy!

So today the military theme continues with bottles that are made to look like grenades
Just joking! It’s a great picture, actually.
You forgot about the bunny scent…
Have a great weekend, filling your studio with amazing smells.
Oh wow, Persolaise, you are faster with your comments than me with my postings
Thank you for reminding me in the bunny scent.
I wish you a lovely weekend, too. Enjoy the season.
I think that’s down to a happy coincidence: you seem to upload a new post at roughly the same time as my daily blog check. Mind you, now that I’m on holiday, all normal routines are out the window.
I use empty small perfume bottles as bud vases (an empty Prada Narciso holds a spray of Sweet Peas before me) I can see your new small bottle will make a good one….I will be getting a URC in the new bottle I guess!
Love the photo – brilliant lighting there! Question about the “new flacon” for Rose Chypree: is it just a smaller version of the new full-sized blue flacon? Or is it altogether different? Maybe you discussed this before and I missed it.
Ahhh yes, Swiss Army scent – I believe my brother used to have a bottle of that several years ago, although i can’t recall what it smelled like. I keep chuckling over the “Combat Zone” scent idea – intriguing though, with the twist on combat zone between the sexes!
Love the photo and the new falcon. I wish we were also having a rainy, dark weekend instead of very hot summer days. Enjoy your weekend as well!
An album for the combat Zone – “London Calling“ from The Clash!! The Battle of the Sexes scent could be your take on The Mystery of Musk, yes???
Good morning Datura
you will sure get the URC, and Une rose vermeille in the new flacon, provided you wait another two months or so. It might even take a bit longer, depending on how the transition goes. But you will get it!
and Devon: You did not miss a thing…. I just do not give any details except for the fact that there will be a 30 ml flacon by September. I want it to be a secret until then and I like the idea of waiting …
We have seen enough rain now, Josephine! It is a thin path between sunny hot days and cool days where you reach for the hoodie again … I wish you a cool evening!
well, Hotlanta Linda
I am not really the musk man so far, as all my fragrances miss the musks as a dominant note. I am the ambergris man, that’s my passion. But I guess, a perfume built on a musky base would be an interesting challenge, one day…
Hi Andy, Combat Zone–too funny but I do wonder if there are any positive (or compelling) smells out there on the battle field to warrant that name? I’m more excited by the bunny scent.
And re: musks, I never really got into them until recently when I bought some Kiehl’s Musk and I really, really like that one. Hope you are having a great wk-end. Oh and will we be able to buy the RV sooner than a couple of months from now in the other bottles or is it going to be released in the new bottle from the start?
Hello Andy
- About the 30 ml flacon: I love the idea of creating some sort of secret, like during the time of “Advent”, the weeks before christmas, where much anticipation is cultivated in childrens’ minds. So it seems you embark on a late-summer christmas?
- About “Combat Zone”: I would strongly advise you to desist creating such a scent recalling the battle of sexes, where the “Sécrétions Magnifiques” flow excitedly.Etat Libre d’Orange has thought of that already.
Oh wonderful! I like the idea of getting it in the 30 ml rather than the 15 ml, and I’m all for the extra anticipation for the new flacon! Like Stephan said, it will be like Christmas
I understand that amber hang-up all too well – never gets `old`, even though it is ancient, like roses!! You could concoct a terrific woody/floral/resin scent w/ a enough of a drop of musk in the base to make everyone wonder “What IS that?!!???“ Still would like to know if your bunnies had favourite flowers and herbs to munch or make their bed in – maybe that would start an herbal/floral softly- spoken scent.A bunny motto is “Hop softly and carry a big Thump!“
Linda, in that case we may be talking carrots, celery and arugula with a hint of rose, amber and musk!
delicious colour, this photo! haha funny about musk/ ambergris n bunny talk, i find ambergris kind of elegant+pretty… and love sandalwood ~
Stephan: there is so much more to the combat zone of sexes than s.m…. and we might use ” combat zone” as an idea of other (eternal) fights, such as we and the fridge.
Hotlanta Linda: Rabbit was fan of primrose flowers! and loved like all rabbits dandelion leaves….
Jen: Une rose vermeille will be released in the 30 ml flacon only. 280 of these sit in my studio these days and wait for the stickers…
And here’s to Santa Claus in September, Devon!
